Welcome! The purpose of this site is to serve as a tool for developing a ''community of practice'' among B.E.S.T. class instructors. Please use this tool to post your own ''B.E.S.T. practices'' and read those of your peers. Feel free to respond to ideas posted by others to generate some dialogue as well. The goal here is to create a resource that you will come to often for fresh ideas, advice and feedback.

The Profile... I will draw 6 to 8 (or use pictures in my powerpoint presetnation) with famous tv, movie, book detectives, and their "characteristic" symbols (ie. Sherlock Holmes magnifying glass and pipe). The class will then have to pick a detective, and based on their famous symbols guess who they are. When the students guesses the detective, we talk about the detectives "personality" and how they used that personality to be a succesful detective. I try to use detectives that are "generational" to make sure ALL age groups feel like they can participate.

They training lesson: To perform a successful profile, not every sales consultant has to be the same "personality". A sales consultant can use "their" personality to be effective. The most important thing is to uncover and understand your personality, and use it to give the guest the best profile experience you can give!

Possible book recommendation: Technology for Trainers by Thomas Toth. Recommended to me as a primer for trainers who want to build a basic understanding of how technology can be used for training. Haven't read it myself, so buy at your own risk. :-)
